Default Best California Legal Exhaust Setup???

Whats up guys, i decided to do my exhaust setup before doing my suspension and wanted to know what the best exhaust setup to run to pass smog and to pass inspection tests if i ever got pulled over. I can't decide between a Mac catback or flowmaster Super 40's. Is there an x or h pipe thats catted that would pass all these damn emission laws CA has. I really wanna run catless but it so isn't worth it if i got busted getting pulled over for having all the cats removed. Any recommendations i'd appreciate, thanks.

There are a ton of companies that make catted mid pipes. BBK, MAC, SLP, just to name a few.

From personal experience Stay Away From BBK. for me BASSANI makes the best mid-pipes, I just passed the sniffer test with my catted Bassani X. I put down Hybrid numbers. lol let's just say that the 2 highflow cats that came with my Bassani X put out less emissions than my brothers honda accord. lol

I've heard its illegal to change the location of the cats on any car in cali. so that pretty much rules out all aftermarket midpipes. you'll definitely pass the sniffer but its a hit and miss on the visual. a couple buddies got rejected when the tech saw that the cats were aftermarket.

If you are going for loud, catted x pipe and slp lm1's or sss terminators. if you want muscle car sounds, go with mrt catted h pipe and flowmaster stainless steel catback.

you cant touch the cats in california... "technically you cant touch the exhaust" is what a police officer told me when i got pulled over once in my integra. i would just throw on a catted mid pipe and keep your stock one handy if you do get popped for that.. if your not a dooche bag to the cop they are usually chill with you. usually...
