I can't confirm, but I think my motor has them. That or I have the fastest and loudest stock GT ever. Here is an exhaust clip, ignore the knocking, keep in mind that my exhaust is bone stock. Plus my 0-60 times are closer to a PI car.

I'm sure the sound difference is noticable though.
yeah but I mean if you are "racing" you are going to be staying in that 4-6K rpm range anyways... where you would notice the difference big time. I made about 60ish HP w/ these cams.

i would honestly say on stock headed 2v, 3-5.5k is more likely the power band you want to stay in... your car shifts right into 4k rpm?? i know mine shifted into the 3s, not the 4s...shift at 5.5-6k, be right back in your powerband at 3...only way ide put stage 2s in the car is if i planned to rev it to 6500 with some head porting done

+1....and the op doesn't want to change springs (even though it wouldn't be a bad idea with most stage 1's) which really throws stage 2's out of the equation.

I really think most stage 1 type cams will perform as well (if not slightly better overall) as most stage 2's in a situation with stock heads, and only revving to 6k max.

ok well maby its upper 3k but either way. but whatever. haha. gives me room to grow I guess. better stage 2 now and then use it later, then stage 1 now and then need to buy another set down the road. but to each there own! I just think stage 1's will leave you wanting more....

(my buddy has the stage 1's I found out tonight, and he is wanting to go get the 270's, but he is also built so he can rev higher)

but, it does sound good "bra" haha

and whoever has that video with the "loudest gt", I didn't even know it was on until you reved it. not saying its not the "fastest" but def doesn't seem very loud

I will never go stage 1. If your going to
do cams go with a minimum stage 2. Check out hitech cams. You don't need to change the springs. The springs should be changed anyways. CMS and hitech motorsports stage 2 will typically put ~20 rwhp more than stage 1s. Like I have said before. When racing you need a higher rev limiter and you need more peak power UP TOP. Due to the fact that when drag racing and goin through gears your at 4500+. That's where stage 2 shine! Sorry. I'll disagree everytime with stage 1. They are a waste of time. Stage 2 cams can take over 1 second off your 1/4 with the spray. Especially with a 150 shot. Ultimatly it's your car... But it's a waste and your going to hate yourself because your going to have to do cans twice. You will eventually change your mind. I recomend calling performance companies and see what they say. Everyone I have talked to recommend stage 2. It's not a coincidence...

I'm planning to run either CMS stage 1 or Hitech stage 1's. Mainly because I can't get a custom tune up here so will have to figure it out myself with sniper software. I just don't feel I would ever really make use of stage 2's because I don't plan to do any porting or anything and from what I have heard I won't be able to properly tune them my self with Sniper. I would say buy one of those 2 honestly. They have gotten good reviews fomr the users and they have a nice sound to them. I just can't decide wich of the two I want. I may supercharge later down the road with a KB but that would be at least 2 years from now. I also plan to do alot more open track / autoX type stuff than drag. To me the msot important thing is for the car to be reliable and fun to drive on a daily basis or whenever I decide to jsut take a spur of the moment road trip or something

By also getting stage 1 you are leaving ~20 rwhp left on the table... These cars can rev to 6500 rpm safely so why not utilize it's potential?!?!
