Default Is it good to travel at 3k?

Lately, I have been finding myself in quite a hurry on the highway to and from school. I travel at 3K RPMs occasionally, and was just wondering if 3K is a bad area of the tachometer to travel 10-20 minutes. 90+mph winds should be good enough for air/fuel ratio to not cause any harm when traveling at high speeds, right?

What does high a/f ratio have to do with it?

What do you think I run at with 4.30s? If I'm on the highway im usually between 2500 and 3000 rpms. These motors don't mind it at all.

Well, see I was just wondering because I have heard about revving engines at idle and spinning a rod. It's a known fact that you SHOULD be moving at a speed that gives the proper air to amount for the high RPM you are at. I have a friend who blew black smoke from his WRX STI because ECS tuning did not have a powerful enough fan for his high RPM run. Something got seriously messed up in his engine.

Stop treating me like an idiot, I just had a simple question.
