dont quote me but ive heard sony makes crappy car stereo components... id do some research before buying sony stuff for my car stereo.

go with some image dynamics ctx components, best for under $200. diamond audio has some really good ones, focal, hertz (expensive), mb quart just to name a few. u really shouldnt be playing bass with aftermarket speakers though, they are designed for music, not bass. and if u have the mach 460 system (not sure if u ever said yes or no) u will have to rewire everything because the amps send out an 8ohm load...

i dont have the mach. so bass wont be any good on a component speaker?

u will have some bass, but they arent designed for bass. u should also get an amp to power them if u get aftermarket. u will be happy with it im sure. i would definitely check into those image dynamics i told u about.

My buddy had MTX component speakers in his 01 gt and they sounded pretty damn good.
