Default Stock 5-speed or T-56 6-speed?????

Stock 5-speed is going out and was wanting to know if I should buy another 5-speed or go ahead and get a 6-speed? And if I got the T-56 if it would be better to keep the 3.27's or get 4.10's?

If you have the skill and the money, T-56 is the way to go. I would say that 4.10's would be awesome with the T-56.

OP, There are several gear ratio models available for the T-56.

I always hated the HUGE gap between 4th~5th gears, so when I needed a new trans, the #1260 was the answer for me. For those interested in such a swap, I have a complete install with lots of info on ratios and such in my T-56 swap thread in the 4.6 (modular) section.

I'd say a T-56 is the way to go. It's going to handle more power than a T45 or 3650, and if you ever need it at the strip, it's got a 5th gear worth something in the 1/4. With the difference in the way the T-56's are geared, I'd say your definately going to have to swap gears. With the 3.27's I think the car will be very sluggish.

^ Really? I have always heard good things about the TKO. Maybe some shortcomings are showing?

Ive heard both sides about for/against tko's. I personally would rather have the in between gear of the 6 speed. But thats just me.
