Default Could use advice / Twin Turbo

I am wanting to install a twin turbo on my 04 GT but need to know what else I need to think about in the process. What upgrades do I need? The only thing done to my car so far is cold air intake and exhaust. Thanks for any help concerning this.

Depends on how much power your going to run. If your going to run over 450 rwhp that's when you need forged internals, tranny upgrade, new fuel system, k-member, new tune, if you want to make serious power then you need cams, new heads or ported heads. If you don't have fat tires in the rear you might want to look into it. I mean it depends on the kit you want. If it's a tuner kit your going to need fuel k member tune. If it a complete kit it will come with everything that you need. Just to further help you tell us your power level that you want and tell us the kit that your looking into. That way we can better help you out..

+1

Your looking at basically a new "built" motor, tranny, rear, and a nice fuel system to go with that. At least to get past 450RW.

between 450 and 500 would be ideal but i dont want to compromise quality for power either. The kit I looked into was a full kit. HP PERFORMANCE
1996-2004 MUSTANG COBRA, GT, MACH 1 & BULLITT
STAGE I, II, III and IV TWIN TURBO KIT this is what i was lookin at

If that's your goal, why Twins? HP P is a good company but they are hella expensive. As everyone said above 450ish you're going to need a built bottom end. If you're even close to 450, I would build your bottom end. You can get to 450-500 with stock heads but I would buy at least custom grind turbo cams.

You said, "i dont want to compromise quality for power" so that makes me believe you want reliability and in that case; You'll have to buy the following:
K member if it doesn't come with one.
Transmission (Unless you're an Auto)
Staged Clutch
At least a replacement or rebuild on the stock T-lock CF C disks. (31 spline if you're going to be racing.)

If you're an auto, you'll be good to go for your trans. Just get a shift kit and adjust your shift points. Auto RW numbers are going to be lower than manuals so you'll actually need to make more power to get the 450-500rw numbers.

Hellion single turbo kit is pretty much everything you need to get to 400rwhp+...minus new clutch and built rear. So thats what im gonna go with when the time comes just because its got everything needed to get me there.
