Default Found a procharger! Still debating though :/

found a procharger setup for $2000. Just need the mounting bracket, MAF, fuel pump, and sct tuner. Stoked! But i am now having second thoughts. My mileage inst too high (63400). I'm just nervous that once i install this and start having fun with it and pushing my engine, I'd destroy a rod or blow my engine :/ Not willing to take the risk of blowing my engine..especially after all the money put into my car. I would be running a safe tune. 370-380 rwhp with 6-8psi p1sc 3 core intercooler. what do you guys think? I either am going to throw on the charger..or would it be smarter to just save up for a mach?

Ya, my motor had 101k on it when I did the pi swap and then put 4-5k more on before I put the procharger on it, and thats been for probably ~8000 miles ago.

Go for it. Just go to a good/respected shop and get your tune and you will be fine.

I put my novi 2000 on with 115k on the clock and I'm at 130k now with no problems. But I will say don't rush into it make sure its really what you want. If I could do it all over again I would have spent the money on building the motor. Just think about it and don't let anyone else make the decision for you.

this makes no sense.... save for a mach wtf??? uhhh if you can save for a mach why dont you just buy the blower (ur car will be way faster than a mach) then SAVE your money for a BUILT MOTOR... lmao, or atleast forge your internals. either way you go its cheaper than buying an entire damn car, cmon man.

My car has never been on a dyno so I dont know. It was street tuned and at the time my tuner Matt from performance evolution (delaware) did not have a dyno in his shop.

IF I bought a mach I'd be selling my car. With the sale of my car I'd be making more money. A mach has a stronger engine and I would be buying one with low mileage. I had a guy who wanted to buy my car for $12k on Saturday and i made a deal with some dealer for a mach with less than 20,000 miles on it for $15k plus taxes. I called the dealer before I sold my car to make sure he was still in it for the deal but he had sold the mach two hours before I called (obviously due to another buyer giving a higher asking price). hmm..a mach with less than 20,000 miles that can later be supercharged and built up versus my car with 63,400 miles. Yes my car would have been faster than the mach, but after paying the mach off I would have supercharged it also. in the long run buying a mach would be more practical for me before my car starts dropping even more in value due to high mileage.
