If u want more volume i'd go with slp lm1 or slp lm2. i would change out the catback before id change the midpipe because the midpipe is a pita to take off and put back on unless u have a lift but even then i still wouldn't touch the mid pipe ne more.

i would just keep things as is and change the catback to a set of stingers or magnapacks but the issue is i've already got an expensive high flow catback system on there can can't afford to replace it. cutting off the cats just seemed like an ok idea because its cheap and i've found a few places to make my own simulators.

what would be the difference in buying the 'off road x pipe' and just cutting off the cats with the current x pipe?

Youd just be saving some money. If the work of cutting and welding is easy for you than go for it thats what i did. I just chopped my stock h pipe (which needed to be shorter anyway to match up with the lts) and welded the flanges back on and it was perfect for me. But if you dont have easy access or the ability to do the work than just buy a o/r x. I would try and look for a used one. Ive seem some floating around for at least half the price of a new one.

are your cats held on by clamps or welded? mine were clamps and i could pull them off and clamp in a larger tube.
