The fundamental question that needs to be asked here is what are the drivers needs. If the OP wants a very good tire, the Jmac beat me to it and the Khumo's for dry/cornering performance fo sho!

If after good performance tire at what is probably a cheaper price and longer life expectancy, go 555's

Def the Kumhos. I have Nitto 555's and I just can't hook with these period. Straight line or corning. Heating them up or not, Changing tire pressure, street or track, etc... just won't happen. I will never be buying 555's again. I will say one thing tho, they do last a long time.

I've had the BF Goodrich g-force drag radial 275! those tires look fat and they gripped really good!

A couple months ago there was a thread like this and everyone was saying NT555's were really good that's why I went with them now it's Kuhmos?

^ just a comparison between those particular tires.

You will ALWAYS find a preferable tire, depending on the $$$ you want to spend and the performance you require. I haven't checked the prices, but figure the Kumho's are more expensive.

Iv had both, the ecstas def drove better but the 555s i have now have been through multiple donut factories and still look new.. lol

The 555s dont hook terrible imo. Better than the BFGs i had when I first got my car.
