I just got nt555's a couple months ago and they are really good. They are even the best tire I've had in rain too.

The Kumho is a softer compound and will provide better grip in all aspects of performance. I have been on Nitto 555's and I wouldn't buy them over the XS.

Nitrous is like the Hot Chick with STD's. You wanna hit it, but you might regret it.

Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary… that’s what gets you.

WHY DON'T YOU GO PRACTICE FALLING DOWN, I'LL BE THERE IN A MINUTE!!!

The fundamental question that needs to be asked here is what are the drivers needs. If the OP wants a very good tire, the Jmac beat me to it and the Khumo's for dry/cornering performance fo sho!

If after good performance tire at what is probably a cheaper price and longer life expectancy, go 555's

Def the Kumhos. I have Nitto 555's and I just can't hook with these period. Straight line or corning. Heating them up or not, Changing tire pressure, street or track, etc... just won't happen. I will never be buying 555's again. I will say one thing tho, they do last a long time.

I've had the BF Goodrich g-force drag radial 275! those tires look fat and they gripped really good!

A couple months ago there was a thread like this and everyone was saying NT555's were really good that's why I went with them now it's Kuhmos?

^ just a comparison between those particular tires.

You will ALWAYS find a preferable tire, depending on the $$$ you want to spend and the performance you require. I haven't checked the prices, but figure the Kumho's are more expensive.

yo ive used both and i'd say falken 542. there exactly like the nt555 but i felt like the 452's just lasted a little longer and had pretty god grip once warmed up.

Iv had both, the ecstas def drove better but the 555s i have now have been through multiple donut factories and still look new.. lol

The 555s dont hook terrible imo. Better than the BFGs i had when I first got my car.
