sorry you feel that way man, have you personally had bad experiences? i really like HP... chris and steve always treat my friends and i well and the tunes they've given me since i started going to them have always netted me amazing results.

when i first threw on my vortech i had SO MANY EFFIN' idle issues and it just ran like pure crap, chris told me everything i needed to do- i had to change do many things the previous places never even mentioned to me. Thats why they gained my trust i guess...

check out my streetfire and youtube vids, trust me if you were me you wouldnt be dissapointed with their work!

my car's been a dyno slut since i got it in 07', from when it was near stock to how it sits now. its been at like 4-5 different shops JUST to get tuning work done, stricly performance, fastland, psi, etc... theres a reason why i stick to HP now. oh and they are like $150-200 cheaper so why the hell not lol.

and right now im on the stock block remember, i dont wanna push it any farther so im not bitter about the 8 peak hp gain

Me and many others have had problems with Houston Performance. Im glad you dont have any problems though! This one wasnt another bad thing to add on their list. You had problems with Patrick at PSI??? Thats a first... Stricly meh.. Over priced and not that good. Houston Performance isnt cheaper. I paid $550 for my crap dyno tune. Hell I cant even call it a tune its so bad. Pat at PSI charges $500. They are all around the same exact price. Except stricly which charges $650.

Like I said, im glad it worked out, and you car rocks... just be careful.

From what I have seen and heard, blower cars tend to have mixed results with LT's.

I just recently installed some also and I had some pretty good gains with mine. I haven't had it on a dyno yet. I judge my gains by my track results. Here's a link to my results... http://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l-...t-install.html

I have gone a little quicker both NA and on the hose since that thread. Last weekend it ran a 13.16 @ 103.4 raw and 11.78 @ 116.61 on the 125 shot.

The main problem with people reporting gains from LTs is that most of the time they've done a lot of other stuff like o/r mid-pipes and a 93 octane tune. I once heard of a 60 rwhp gain with LTs on an '04 Cobra. Not. They also changed pulley and put on an o/r mid-pipe.

I needed a new tune so I decided to have LTs and a catted x-pipe installed first. The first pull without the tune showed absolutely no horsepower gains over the dyno runs from a couple of months earlier. I also saw no drop in boost. (To be fair they were different dynos. The first was a Mustang dyno. The second was a Dynojet. ) I have become convinced that its the o/r mid-pipe that gives you most of the gains not the long-tubes.

Of all the mods I've done to my car, the only one I think was a total waste of money is long-tube headers.

PSI wasnt a bad power tune, just couldnt get my car to idle right no matter what they did cause when i switched to blow-through ALL my iac and vac lines were plumbed wrong and still in was i guess what draw -through set up (most going into the powerpipe causing all sorts of mess) Chris @ HP was the only one who was able to figure out were to get everything to go and when he tuned it it ran amazing like a blow-through car should! No more having the car shut off and loose steering going into a turn :O lol

oh and ive never payed more than $300 at HP, used to be $250

yea strictly is ass rape

wasnt there some guy a while back who had a built/vortech 01-04 blue 2v that was stock looking that only gained like 7 whp peak? he was making damn good numbers, OH his name was nanaki
