Have been now kicking around cams, stage 2 but am afraid of loosing street drive ability. Have 3.73 gears , you guys that have them is your 5th gear still good or is it useless at 45-55 mph ?

what do yo mean loose your 5th gear pull? you will have more "pull" in 5th with more gear. I.E. you will pull harder in 5th with 4:10's then 3:73's (due to you are running higher rpms)
I don't get why everyone likes to argue about which gears someone has, and whether or not they are good. You do realize he's not going to take apart his rear and spend 300+ bucks on a new ring and pinion + install on your word alone.
OP, to answer your question, no, you're not going to see any driveability issues at all.
Granted it's a little different situation, but I'm running some pretty damn aggressive cams and 3.55's in the rear, so Its definitely do-able.
