Default 3650 trans >:0

i JUST replaced my 3650 trans with a rebult one and i went to power shift from 3rd-4th tonight messin around and missed now the damn gear grinds every time i shift into it. wtf is wrong with these things? i barly scarated it...it was so light. these things r the worst trans ever made. the first one i had i blew the 3rd gear syncros out just by scrtachin 3rd like 2 or 3 times. i swear im not the worst driver in the world...im no john force but i can drive my car...every one misses a gear every now and then but comeone...it was the first time i missed 4th and its grinding like this? some one please tell me the most bullet proof 5 speed trans i could possibly buy cuz im gettin it. this shat is gettin on my nerves.

Dont powershift.. its not made for that.. WTH do you expect.. especially if your not even doing it right.

A TKO is pretty idiot proof. or get a promotion.

its hit or miss...u eather make the shift or u grind it...its not like theres a secret method to it...and i know they arnt made for it but thats what gets the best times out of ur car.

Theres a right way/wrong way to power shift.. when you do it right it wont grind. either way its hard as **** on the tranny. I do it all the time in my t45..funny I havnt busted mine up yet, never heard it grind either


BUT.. you cant do that to a factory tranny and expect it to not break if you cant do it right.

Just a word of advice not trying to be a dick. I would look into something like a tko.

i know how to power shift and 90% of the time it works for me but the few times that i messed up it kills my trans! is the t45 stronger the the 3650? or could i build the 3650?

The t45 is "supposed" to be weaker.. but some of the most beat on cars in this section are running with a t45.

If you want a built t3650 promotion makes some of the best IIRC.

is there any type of transmission oil that i could put in to help it shift better? or save my 4th gear syncro haha. syncro mesh?

i missed 3rd just ONCE while racing and now if the revs are above 1500, i can't get into it without the trans sounding like the guts are about to fall out

these transmissions suck haha. one more question tho...will any t-5 dropp right in to my 02 gt?

these trannys dont like powershifting...they werent made to take that abuse...like hoss said, tko's are pretty bulletproof...
