Default 02 gt vs 05 gt

Just curious... who would win in a race in most cases... a 99-04 mustang gt auto with full boltons vs a STOCK 05+ Mustang gt auto... how close and why

this is more for the street/strip section but an 02 GT should win. Full bolt on GT should put down similar numbers to a stock 05 GT but having gears gives you an advantage along with the weight difference.

Well, when i had just a cat back, cai, gears, and tune, i could beat both my dad (06 gt auto) and my bro (06 gt manual).

^^^ Driver mod maybe? Guess not with the auto though. I would think the full bolt on would win, drivers being equal.

Hard to say, but i really don't think so. Dad's is a auto (no driver mod needed) and i know my bro can drive. Even from a roll (where the driver mod is less concerned) i could pull them. Although my my bro and i were very close.

Might be a dumb question since i asked the question... but what exactly is considered to be "Full Bolt ons"... i know like exhaust and intake and stuff but what else do you need to have "full bolt ons"???

It's always hard to tell because of the difference in drivers. My brother, whom gave me my NPI 96gt with only flowmaster catback, could spank 99-04 GT's. I'm talking about 2 or maybe 3 cars ahead. That race, with both equal drivers, is impossible. The driver mod always comes into play when racing, and it's very annoying because we never know what our car can actually do, in a way. I would get confused! lol

That's desent though; beating the 06 GTs' with a full bolt-on PIgt.

ive raced my buddy with 07gt 4.10's cai tune and I had him by a few cars. At the track ive raced a few 05-09gts with intake, tune, exhaust, some geared and usually win. hell have you with the hp #'s so youll have to get off the line clean to have a chance.
