I got an estimate for 5.6k which isn't worth it too me. :
Is that what they were going to charge the insurance company?? My 5500.00 in damage would have cost me only 900.00 if i let the body shop put used factory parts back on and paint/ blend the whole front end. They charge insurance jobs alot more.

The frame is bent though, that was the main thing. It would be easy if it were just cosmetic damage, and needed new panels, bumper, etc. but its more than that, and just more than I want to deal with. But that is how much the said they would charge the insurance company. I haven't seen how much it would cost me by myself though.

I got an estimate for 5.6k which isn't worth it too me. And the Cobra fell through. I hate to say it but I think I'm buying a z28 Found a completely stock one with 89k on it, 6spd, Black on black, leather, really pretty and really clean. and the kicker of it all....$4500. I had my mechanic look it over and check everything out, and couldn't find anything wrong with it, runs perfectly. So I'm over there tomorrow for the last time, and I'm probably going to buy it. I'll have close to 4k of play money (if not more) with the money I was saving for the S/C for my car, parting out my car and then the 2k, left over from my check. So we'll see, hate to leave the mustang world, but thought I might try something different for a bit. I'm only 18 and this isn't going to be my last car by any means, there will be more stangs in the future. Just have to do what is the most economical and reasonable right now for my needs. and a LS1 and s/c would be nice lol
That LT1 sounds like a good deal. As much as I would hate to leave the Mustang world, leaving it for a Camaro would make it a little easier of a change
