Default tach adapter for 99-04 gt

bought a 5" monster tach for a modular car, anybody know which tach adapter i need? still stock ignition for now. summitt has a msd one for 70-80bucks but if anybody knows of a cheaper one please let me know

because heads and cams are going in within a year, and i dont trust factory tachs esp when cams turn past factory redline

Mine is msd as well. I got it when i did my window switches for the nitrous.

lizzy, part has been ordered, i se in the tach instructions to hook the white wire to cab light source, and black to battery, green to the adapter but where does this adapter read the rpms from? did it include instructions?

All you need is a raptor shift light.. its run directly off the PCM.

lizzy, i was reviewing the wiring diagram thru haynes manual, where did u tap into your ignition and light switch at for yours, and i still have yet to receive the tach adapter. i see the green wire runs to the adapter but where do i have to tap into in order to get the signal for the tach to read revs?
