Default upgrade 97 stock GT rear brakes to stock 97 stock cobra rear brakes

I recently ran into some issue with my rear brakes the caliper got stuck and shreaded my left rear rotor. I bought some Cobra sized 11.65 roters to put on the rear and found that it was a little too short on clearance with the stock bracket and caliper, about 1 inch i now got a new OEM Cobra bracket and will be using new calipers.

Will this work?

some people here in my work say yes others say no you have to remove the axel and replace the shims and stuff

let me know please
