Kooks or ARH Longtubes, with Matching o/r x pipe, and quiet borla or bassani catback. That will prob get you as close as you can to a cobra sound, it will still be off thou. Most 2v guys like to run chambered mufflers where as cobra guy like straight thru mufflers such as Bassani, Borla and SLP.

Performance wise you going to need to dump alot of money to run with 03/04 cobra especially since their are very very few stock left.

I'll be able to run with you guys

OP: your car will never sound like a cobra....
Also, your quest to be as fast as a cobra is going to cost you. trust me... it can be done though relatively easy. You just have to know what you are doing and know what parts you need to do it with.

4v sounds way better then a 2v , deeper and more tone to it , honestly no way to get that sound out of a 2v IMO. OP - honestly the only to match statistics with a cobra is to upgrade to a 4v engine which the cobra's use. I say make your 2v a fast ,wild GT. Its been done plenty of times , it will cost money and take patience but it's possible to make GTs run with cobra's.

I think its all in preference , I like the deeper rumble sound to the cobra. Dont get me wrong tho the 2v's sound great also and the both just dominate the LS engines in sound.

There is a Cobra in town that has the sickest howl! Don't know if its the motor or the exhaust or both....sure sounds amazing though. Sounds fast going 30 mph in traffic....not even on it.

Obviously it's a matter of preference, but i think the 2 valve sounds better in general. It sounds closer to the old 5 liter, which sound the best imo. I do agree the 4 valve has a great sound of it's own, but it'd definantly not as deep as a 2 valve from what i've actually heard.
