Even tho 500 hp is a lot for any car, with a KB it can be very friendly from whats been said. Ask thunderhorse, he just finished his KB setup, so he would know

You don't actually think so right? My dad DD's my car every day without a hiccuup. Granted he doesn't like the cheap interior, but I told him it's better than stripped out like it used to be.

no ****ing way ide let my gf drive my 500rwhp mustang with a twinscrew...then again, i wouldnt let her drive it with a centri either
I'd say go with the turbo. I mean if you would do like a hellion kit(just using as an example), you could use the standard 62mm turbo and push like 10lbs of boost and be at or over your 500/500 goal and it would still be reasonable to DD. I'd love to put a hellion kit on my car because of the potential of turbos. I mean you could probably reach like 600rwhp with a 62mm turbo with like 18lbs of boost or so with a mildly built engine. I just like the efficiency of turbos and it doesnt take power away to make power. That and the torque always seems to be higher on turbo cars anyways. I like torque...its nice

honestly, if he truly wants a 500rwhp car that his girlfriend can drive, a turbo is by far the best idea.
Mainly because he can turn the boost down with the turn of a knob whenever she's going to drive it, if he feels so inclined.
But, I think it's a better idea just to tell her not to be a f*cking retard when driving the car.
a 500rwhp KB car isn't going to drive any differently under normal throttle conditions than a stock GT, if it does, it will in fact act as if there is less power, because of the parasitic losses associated with spinning the monster blower.
so yeah, as long as she doesn't see boost, then you'll be fine.
But yes, if you're thinking about controlling how much power she has available, I would either go with a Novi Blower with a blow through set up and a waste gate so that you can control boost, or I would go with a turbo set up, essentially with a waste gate as well, to control boost.

I know the whole argument about "for the same or less money you can make a 2v make more power than a 4v"... but I really don't care. I love the idea of 500hp on a completely stock long block. You want to talk about easy of driving... a ported blower, 03/04 engine can make 500hp no problem and still idle like a stock car.
That's the down side of the 2v... to start making big numbers you typically need some sort of cams, which will always reduce driveability.
I'm not saying it's the best choice, but something that I have always found more interesting.

I would love nothing more than to throw in an aluminator, however I'm concerned about smogging issues that may arise if I get sent to a smog ref.
Hey, its good to see you back man! Look, you are likely going to be the one driving your car 99% of the time, so base the decision off of what you feel is a good drivability with the that much power. Just my two cents.
Personally, I would go the TT route. It would be very unique for a mustang, and would get you to your goal with less complicated "building" per say
