I'm looking into getting some 17x10 cobra wheels with some 26x11.5x17 ET streets on them. The seller has used these wheels on his s197 numerous times and says one wheels is slightly bent but its not serious. Would it be a good idea for me to get these? Its gonna be only for track use.

Unfortunately, no way to tell how much a bent wheel will affect the balance of the wheel and tire assembly and cause a vibration or not just by looking at a picture. To find out how bad the bend is, I recommend taking it to a tire shop and having the bent wheel spun on a wheel balance machine to see what you are getting into before you lay out your cash. The bend can be measured with a radial run out gauge while on the wheel balance machine to see if it is within tolerances. .50 out of round is the maximum.

You'd be surprised with how many shops don't even know what a radial run out gauge even is. Better tire shops will have a road force balancing machine that can also check the rim. Again, just call around and ask.
My suspicion is the wheels are being sold because of the bent rim causing problems. Remember, it was only driven by a little old lady on Sunday's. R-I-G-H-T. Good luck with it.

LOL. Well he "says" he purchased them bent and has dozens of track runs with them, he's going with a differen setup now, but I'll take your advice, thanks.
