Best Spark Plugs - Please help
I really like the PULSTAR plugs that I've been checking out but I want too make sure that it's the right choice, I don't want too stay stock because of several reasons, at least an iridium upgrade is my choice. I just want too make sure that the heat range problem won't be there, what's the motorcraft (I think it's 32) heat range compare too the NGK? And should I gap whichever plug? I'm looking for the best performance/better fuel economy boost, but I want it too be safe. I really appreciate your help with this I'm an extremely in-decisive person. I have 30k on my 2003 GT, it's got 50hp added altogether so I shouldn't need a colder plug. (flowmaster, chip, k&n filter)
P.S. - money isn't an issue so the best of the best works, thanks again

Pulstar's are a gimmick, just like the bosch +4 and others like that. The gt's don't respond great to ignition upgrades unless your F/I and your blowing out your spark. The stock gap is .054 plus or minus .002.
A CB, filter and tune wont net you 50 horses in a GT. More like 12-15 ish realistically... As for plugs most ppl here will say the stock motorcraft will be fine since copper is better conductor then platinum or iridium. The smaller tip is better on harder metals like the iridium ones because the spark is more precise then a copper one. However I've heard them being bad in F/I...
I bought some NGK XI plugs when i first bought my car for 60-70 dollars and they are not worth it (but if money is not really a probelm get them) and platinum is a waste imo. You can use that 60 dollars else were with better gains. Like a used O/R H pipe, those 4 cats you have on the car are holding you back more then you think.

Thanks
Thanks, it's a shame you can't get reliable reports from these greedy companies, you've definitely turned me from the pulstar's. I was just worried about putting the motocraft's back in there, when I hear they were snapping off in the engine (going too use deep creep). Also, the sp-493 (standard) actually are platinum tipped. Thanks for the help.
P.S. Already have the H pipe, and your right.

Under some cases with boost numbers the stock ignition system can't handle firing a complete combustion at high rpms. However with a N/A mustang you wont see much of an improvement over your stock COP's.

Just get the Motorcraft plugs, simple as that. That's all you need. Don't waste your money. You're not going to notice any difference between a Motorcraft plug and any other fancy plug on the market. It's just a plug..gap it to specs and put it in. And...you might have 10hp from a k&n, flowmaster, and a "chip"...not 50. Quit falling for all this marketing crap. I'm not trying to be harsh, just trying to give a little advice.
