Default I think im leaving...

The nitrous world that it. Im like sxynerd with his rims, can never make up my mind but now i think i have... From day 1 my entire build thread was originally going turbo... i went in a different direction. While nitrous is nice and all, every day I have mixed feelings about my car because its not done "right." So i have decided to change that. Im almost 99.9% sure and set that im going to go turbo. Single turbo to be exact. Im going to be selling my 4:10 gears, my Mac Long Tubes, my Nitrous kit, and maybe even my lowering springs.. (still need to do some more reasearch on the clearance!), which will fund my build. Im going to keep stock internals and run 9 psi, and eventually change the internals and boost the living F out of it and make my tires scream and beg for mercy.

As some of you guys knew, i was looking on getting cams, a new stall, and then adding another 50 shot = 150, and being complete with my build. Well i thought about it and it depressed me. I was going to finish something that i didnt not want in the first place. There is nothing wrong with nitrous, trust me , but at the end of the day it wasnt my original goal.

Before i leave though i still need to go to the track and make my pass!! I want to get a comparison of my nitrous vs the turbo, If i end up going the route i intentionally wanted to go. Just thought i would share it with you guys!

Well good luck with your turbo build. I'm sure it will be nice not having to refill the bottle. It will be interesting to compare your N20 times with your turbo times.

Yeah, i'll be interested in the nitrous vs turbo times too. I'd also be curious to see your dyno numbers on the juice and on the turbo.

Good luck!

I'm around several turbo cars since my friend and tuner installs, as well as tunes them. All I can say is, I hope you have deep pockets. There is no "cheap" route with a turbo. Everything is critical, from the turbo set-up, tune as well as drivetrain. I have seen more incomplete builds with turbos than any other form of power-adder. A lot of folks run out of money and sell out before ever hitting the track. Just something to think about.

why was it a good choice?

i hate when people imply that nitrous is any worse for a car than other power adders...uninformed people who watched too much F&F

to the OP, if i had the option between a single turbo and nitrous, i would get the turbo also...turbo cars are ****ing awesome...hope you realize how much its going to cost though...its nowhere near as cheap as a properly done nitrous or supercharger set up

www.on3performance.com sells a nice turbo kit for 2vs, for a great price....it would atleast be a good place to start, and you could always upgrade the head unit to something more aggressive later once the car is running

goodluck man, hope it turns out how youre expecting, just dont sell all your stuff and then realize that a turbo is 3x the cost of nitrous and then be stuck with nothing because you sold out and couldnt afford the turbo

I also go to the track with these guys and while they constantly work on their cars I just warm the bottle and make pass after pass. lol
