Default Advice on pi swap

ok i have a 97' Gt basically stock other than full exhaust and cai..... planning a pi swap but heres my 2 options im at.
1---- pi heads have them ported and use stock pi cams

2---- pi heads no port and buy upgraded cams..... either way im going to get better valves and what not for heads.

what do you guys with WAY WAY more experience think?? Also if any one knows what kind of hp gains these options will have .....THANKS

well if your not planning on doing anything too major soon just go with plan one for now and than when you go to build the motor with the internals get a nice cam setup for the f/i.

Thats what I was thinking, if you know your going F/I down the road and wanting cams then you would need blower cams.

So why not just port/polish the heads for right now.

know if you go with a stage 2 or bigger you will need to cut valve reliefs in the pistons.

Lets say around 150. All your doing is cutting a notch into the piston so the intake valve does not hit the piston.
