Procharger or Vortech
I posted this by accident in the classified section , so I decided to repost it in the 4.6 section. I am currently deployed and I got alot of plans for the mustang. My next major mod will be the S/C. I was all set on the Procharger but have read some really good things about the Vortech. I'm looking to get right at around 400 rwhp (will this be possible). Anybody have any suggestions? I'm really trying to get the best S/C that will work good with my current mods. Thanks guys!

either or will get you there with an IC on an otherwise stock car (which does not seem to be your case). you'll have to lose your underdrive pulleys for sure. just get whichever one is cheaper. they make self contained vortechs now, so that's no longer an issue if you prefer that route.

They are the same thing in form and function. The ONLY difference between the two in function is the vortech sucks oil from your montor(meaning you dont have to change the oil in your motor AND the blower).
If i was gonna supercharge I would piece together a vortech kit and an intorcooler.

Youll get more out of the vortech, imo the vortech is more reliable, less prone to throwing belts, cheaper and will make more power if ever go with forged internals. Also I recommend going with the non-self contained, if you have a very expensive race motor and you were racing then there might be a good argument for going self contained, but your life will be alot easier with a non-self contained.

Woah Nanaki, talk about random... I was trying to remember your name the other day and I couldn't for the life of me... some guy was asking about the difference between long tubes and shorties and I remember you had really minimal gains swapping, but I just couldn't remember your damn name.

and yes 400 rwhp is not only possible, but with and i/c you shouldnt have a problem going past that granted u have supporting mods and the fuel.
i hit 433 a few weeks ago full exhaust, i/c, and 3.12 pulley thats it.
