Factory freaks account for 5-10hp differences and have more to do with piston rings and blowby than anything else. Kinda like how a brand new car will dyno lower than a 2 year old car.

If there are any measurable differences you have to consider
  • A: there's a 10-20rwhp +/- for every dyno based on conditions.
  • B: An old and sloppy engine can out perform a new tight engine. (But at a considerably less amount of time.)

The phrases, "A lose engine is a fast engine" & "I got the best MPG I ever had in that car, just before it blew up." should come to mind.

dynos are tools for tuning... track times tell you what the car can do, everything else is blowing smoke.

OP, anything back from the seller yet??? I'd be willing to pay that full list price for a 1 of 2 car. Thats just me though. And itd probably be a nice car man. But roushs dont respond very well to pulley changes. Max boost is like 12 with the smallest pulley known to man and make a decent amount of heat. lol so just leave it stock and enjoy it.

Man.... Granted that we're in different parts of the country i'd say that pretty for 11 grand. How long ago did you get it? I also have an 04 sonic blue gt, I bought it 3.5 years ago (little over 28k miles) and paid $15,000. Though i'd do it again because I've never seen another sonic blue mustang that has a 2toned (mustang emboarded) leather seats (sonic blue & black) before. Plus, it came with factory tires and 18in American racing rims on Nitto's. Can't beat the color: sonic blue.
