keep 4.6 or sell for new "5.0"?
first, forgive me if im posting this in the wrong forum, didnt know where else to post this.
so i've really been contemplating on wether or not to keep my 03, and turbo it(really contemplating the On3Performance kit), and deal with some of the minor issues it has (paint is slightly worn/minor scratches, interior just isnt as pleasing), or keep it until the new 2011's come out, then sell it and upgrade.
im really diggin the interiors of the newer gens, albeit the exterior for me im going to need to adjust to, and that 5.0, *if* its pushin 400, i think may be a better platform to work with down the line. plus the 6 speed vs 5.
i still owe on my 03, as i bought it only 3 years ago, so i'll prolly sell it privately, as trade in value will probably not help at all.
any thoughts??

yea, i keep tellin myself that, but the more i look at the new 2011's, i just get so wrapped up in it. lol its growing on me hard, more than the 05-09's. damn ford marketing, they got it right this time i think.
i really like the smaller lighter design of our body's though.
if i turbo it i wont push it past 400-420, unless i can find a place that will build my motor for dirt cheap...

Well if your talking about buying the 2011 Mustang, then I don't understand why you don't just keep the 03 you have now, rebuild the motor and put twin turbos on it and be pushing 800rwhp. I mean you talking about buying a 2011 but saying you would want to find a place to rebuild your motor for dirt cheap? That doesn't make sense to me as a new Mustang would cost MUCH more than building what you have now.

We have plans to buy an '11 at some point but just build your car for now and buy the new car later. (We Wont buy it brand new cause I think it's just retarded to pay that much for something that's just going to drop in value.)

281 to 302... not much to write home about. No doubt the heads will better, but as a "platform" nobody knows, weight keeps going up and personally I wouldn't want to mess with a new expensive car with aftermarket stuff and "junk it up". If they come out with the new svt raptor 2v with 7.0l potential and put that in a mustang... then sell your house and buy it.

save some money and invest it in you current car. if you get a new car you will have a bigger payment and then ontop of the payment you are going to want to mod the car. rims boltons and ect add up especially if you have any goals for that car. Id keep the 03 tho man, if there are a few things that bother you just fix them. interior buggs you? go buy some bucket seats, maybe get an indash touch screen, maybe some diff color gauges. car has some scratches and little dings? take that **** to get buffed out or repainted... a turbo will def wake your car the hell up. i say keep it and take care of it, id much rather have a modded 99-04 than a stock 2011. nice wheels, a hood, a drop is hard to beat looks wise on our cars.

Just depends on how much that new car urge is calling you and whether you want those payments. Sometimes, it isn't just about how nice or fast you can make your current car... it may be a matter of wanting something new and fast.
Used gives you better bang for the buck (I'm very happy with the Mach 1 that I picked up this year), but there are those moments in life when we just have to have something new.
Good luck resisting that urge. It can be VERY strong.
