Default Vortech vrs. Procharger, what do you think??

So im set on getting a FI system. but im not sure if i want the vortech intercooled system or the procharger intercooled system. i looked at both companies and what they offered....but like most companies trying to get a sale, the both claim to be the leader in the industry, the best blah blah blah.

im leaning twoards procharger...as i have heard good things. but i wanted to see what you other mustang guys thought. money is not an issue in this one. thanks for the input.

I have several friends with both Vortechs and Prochargers on their 2 valves, and from what i've seen the Prochargers have more problems in general.

LOL!! While agreed, he's starting to look better each day with the new CIO (clown in office).

Problems with belts, leaking seals, etc. My one buddy has replaced his blower belt 4 times in the 6 years he has owned it. I have 3 friends with Vortech's (1 is a Paxton) and they haven't had any problems from what they've told me.

Obviously i don't own one, but this is what i've heard from a few of my friends.

Just the general quality of the Vortech is superior to Procharger

That's exactly what my tuner says. They're a Mustang specialty shop (since the late 80's) and have dealt with all types of blowers for Mustangs. He also said all the hardware for the Vortech was better constructed, and fits better in general.

I'm sure you already know this, but the oiling systems are different on these vehicles. The vortech uses engine oil, the procharger uses a contained oil in the head unit.

My buddy has a procharger. He's been towed to the shop in the last year twice for a shreded belt.

I have a vortech on my car for a year and the only problem I have is that I need new tires now.
