Agreed.

I get the whole hiding behind your gear. But eh, for a cheap thrill at least its relatively cheap compared to goin f/i.

I have stock gears right now and they seem good enough for me, so goin to 3.73 would be crazy

a bit of an exaggeration don't you think? thats better than stock. lol

well all of the spec sheets i've looked at have said that they get 25 highway. either everyone is wrong or your calculations are a bit off.

Those EPA estimated ratings are BS.. there always a few mpg under. Hell tell the ppl with camaros n T/A's there full of crap that get 30+ on trips.

lol how does that make sense? that's like saying any modification to go faster is a cheap thrill. upgrading gears is one of the best (and one of the first) mods you should do if you plan on racing or going faster.

THIS^

Hank, your 5.4 swap and blower is a cover up for your lack of mid range power

what are the drawbacks of running 4.10s with a blower?

back to the thread, a few negatives of having 4.10s for me is keeping my doggone foot loose off the pedal, next is I can't loan it out to anyone, next is my imagination tells me I'm wearing down the cylinders faster with the added 2k on the tack going 55mph......other than that, if your not blown it's a shame not to have "em! fun,fun and more fun, fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
