Default Can't decide on 35 or 55 watt hids

Tried a search and really didn't find what I was looking for. I will likely order hiss for my fogs and head lights tmrw. Am doing 35 watt figs for sure and they all will be 6000k. But I can't decide between the power. I don't want to have to worry about tickets for the lights being to bright but I don't want to be let down by them being to dim lol. And dmm says on the site that a 6k 55 watt will look more like a 5k. I would rather everything to look even and I hate the huge amount of blue in the 8k bulbs. Please give me some feedback so I can stop being OCD and order these things already lol

I have a 35W kit but sometimes wish I had a 55W kit. Can't complain though because I got the kit for free.

The way im seeing it, im doing the same thing. Im going to do 5000k fogs and 6000k headlights with the headlights being the 55w kit. From what ive heard, the 55w kit washes out the color somewhat so you'll want a higher k bulb to produce the same color as a 35w kit. know what i mean???

That's a great idea the biggest worry for me is getting hassled over them being to bright. But I am curious how happy people are with a 35 watt as well still. Some people say 55 watt is only about 20 % brighter. Also don't want to blind everyone. I hate being OCD

I have 55w lights 8000k, trust me. Your not going to blind anyone. These cars lights just suck. Period.

I am happy with my 35W kit in smoked headlights. I have had them for a few years so I guess I'm just used to them now.

That's another thing. I have smoked eBay housings too and they are pretty dark. Ok so if I go 55 watt should I get 6 k in the headlights and 5 k in the fogs with 35w? I don't want 8 k bulbs bc I don't want any more blue than the tiny amount seen in 6 k bulbs. No offense to ne one with 8 k it just isn't my cup of tea lol
