Default Strut Tower Brace

Who here has one? Did you notice a difference under daily driving? Do you have any other suspension mods?

Will a Steeda STB or MM STB clear MM CC PLATES or S/C PIPING?

How hard was install?

Thanks

I used to have a Kenny Brown STB. Got rid of it though because I wanted to lower my car stupid low and wouldnt be able to use it.

Against a lot of "internet engineers" claims, I did feel a difference when I got on the car. The front of the car felt a little more stable.

I would get one for a cobra, that way it should clear most things.

Wait a minute. YOU wanted to LOWER your car CRAZY LOW?!?! WTF?!?!? Who is this and where is HOSS?

haha but in all seriousness, why wouldn't you have been able to use the STB when lowering the car crazy low? doesn't make sense to me..

a cobra one will bolt on just fine and everything?

cobra and gt's have the same strut towers and essentially the same whole front suspension...just different parts.

I know that. But i am just wondering if anything in the engine compartment might be different from the GT to the cobra to make fitment an issue. For instance, maybe something will be in the way of a cobra STB, but with a GT STB, it would fit over the thing blocking it. I know it's a long shot, but that would be my luck.

That's kinda hard to understand ^^^ hahaha

Kenny Brown STB bars bolted to the actual C/C plates. The bolts on aftermarket c/c plates didnt look like they would be long enough.

Something you might run into is i think that the 03 cobra hood is a little bit taller around the middle where the STB would be. That would be the only thing that i can think of. But if you remove the insulation on the underside of the hood and you shouldnt have anything to worry about. Shouldnt is the key word. lol

i use steeda's strut brace
http://www.americanmuscle.com/19gtv6sttobr.html
good improvement imo for the cost the car does seem to hold better in tight corner's(small gain in daily driving good gain with push under hard cornering)
i also run steeda front and rear sway bar as well as eibach 1.5" lowering springs
as far as room for cc plates i would guess they will fit due too steeda's design not using the strut tower bolt's
