Default Strut Tower Braces

Are all strut tower braces created equal? AM has a generic one for $110 bucks or a STEEDA one for $150 and I have seen some on E-bay for $60 bucks. Which ones are you guys using and how do they fit/install?

I have the MM STB5 and it is pretty beefy. I wonder if you would have a problem with clearance over your supercharger tubing. By STB wouldn't fit over my JLT so I have to revert back to stock.

What about the stock ones in the early sn95's, like mine? I was thinking of getting rid of it during my drag racing days.

I'm running a chrome BBK brace, think it was like $140 or so from Brother's performance. Definitely made a noticeable difference in how my front end feels. Install wasn't bad at all, took about an hour with the help of a friend. Everything lined up and fit as it should. BBK's installation instructions leave some to be desired, which in my experience seems to be fairly universal with their products.

yeah, I was kind of wondering the same thing. I forget what company I was looking at, but they have a product review section. There were quite a few complaints about fitment issues, in regards to lining up with the strut towers, with this particular brace. I wish I could remember which one it was.

Dr. A.... if you end up going Griggs for all the things mentioned in your other post, I would not even consider getting a STB. I am not even running a cage, but have no need for one.

I would go for anyone that ties all three points together and is reasonably heavy duty material and fits properly.
