Exclamation What Exhaust Do I Get!?

Ok so i'm a student and leave for school every morning around 7 and get home from work fairly late. close to midnight. I already have MAC long tube headers, MAC O/R midpipe. so im not looking to get a full cat, but want a tad more serious sound. so i'm going for a good muffler!!
I've been told by some other stang friends not to even bother with flowmater. they're made from aluminum and will break easier and have a HORRIBE sound at higher RPMs. ?? maybe im wrong ??

but again i have a bad schedule and don't want to wake all my neighbors twice a day... so give me some ideas!

Welcome! Where in MI are you?

The "ideal sound" is obviously very much a personal preference, but personally i'd recommend a chambered muffler (Mac or Flowmaster) since you have a o/r h.

I personally run SSS Exhaust, and wouldn't change it for the world, but i'm not so sure that it would be the best choice with a o/r h pipe. It really depends on the sound that you like.

Your stang friends are wrong about the flows. Maybe that was the case with some of the older or cheaper ones.

That's cool. I bounce between Canton and Howell. I'm at Cherry Hill and Lotz when staying in Canton.

Are you not sure you want a free flowing muffler because of the noise and your neighbors?

Screw your neighbors. I personally like the SLP LM2's mentioned above, or the SSS ones, but some Flows should sound good, too. And unless you're romping on it through the neighborhood I don't think any of the above mentioned mufflers will bother anybody. And if it does, be proud. I love it when I make peoples car alarms chirp (maybe I'm just a dick, though).

im not to worried about the neighbors... the macs are a cheap price which is wierd from them... but they don't state if they're straight through or chambered, does anyone know?
so for know im leaning toward the slp loudmouth II mufflers. they come in a pair for $200... heres the link:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/slp-lo...-mufflers.html

whats the difference with these and the "loudmouth resonator mufflers"
they're also sold in a pair but for $50 less.
thanks for all the help! every1 here is very helpful and nice!

Mac's are chambered.

You can get SSS mufflers for $92 a pair. They are some of the better mufflers around too.
