transmission leaking problem

Default transmission leaking problem

after numerous time adjusting the pan and trying new gaskets theres still one more spot its leaking from. there a crack on top of the case its not big but it leaks so damn fluid FAST! i tried j-b weld but that failed so what else can i do to seal this crack?

jb should work...get the wet weld thats meant for under water applications and clean the spot off really good, sand it some to prep it, and try again...i hit a nasty rock on my yz250f and cracked the aluminum clutch cover and i sealed it with that stuff and it didnt leak oil anymore...i used the stick stuff, just make sure you get it down in the crack good....the normal jb weld might have issues sticking due to trans fluid residue ruining the seal

alright gotcha yea ill clean off the old jb weld and get a tube of that and try it out. thats what i was gonna get at first but instead i got jb qwik or whatever its called

no guarantees...other than that, your best bet is gonna be to pull the trans and have it welded up...but this is a cheap thing to try first

i tried this on an oil pan that has a rust hole coming through it, and it didnt work....then again, i imagine the rust had a big part in that...but aluminum doesnt rust, so you should be alright
