Question Steeda Quick Release Quadrant

My birthday is coming up in two weeks and my lady friend has agreed (so she says) to buy me a car part for my birthday. I told her that I wanted to Steeda Quick Release Quadrant and a firewall adjuster to go with it. Anyone here use the quick release one before? Any major difference as opposed to the double hook Steeda one?

Not a big difference but the double gives you double the placement of the cable
Anything is better than the plastic OE

The quick-release quadrant will increase the pedal effort required quite a bit, they say "slightly" on their website, but keep in mind they are trying to sell you something:
The increased pedal ratio increases pedal effort slightly, but the clutch releases quicker so the shift is over quicker and you wont notice the increased effort.
I have an older catalog in which they said it was not recommend it for street use.

This said, I have never driven a car with one installed so YMMV...

I know it will increase the pedal effort. On some other forums, it seems like a lot of people like to use it with the cobra, and none of them really complained about it being a lot heavier than OEM or a double hook. They did say it makes it easier to pull off some quick shifts though. I just wanted to see if anyone on here has ever used it

I've install a half-dozen or so quadrants mostly UPR triples, but a couple of the Steeda two-hooks. On all the edges of the groove were too sharp for my taste and I used a mill file to break and radius (1/16" or so) them a bit.

It's also important that you use washers or selected spacers to align the groove with the adjuster's bore, and make sure you grease the groove an cable with wheel bearing or similar grease.

I have the steeda quick release and I love it, took some getting used to but it works great. I can shift very fast now other than my hurst isnt too good 2 to 3rd. I took some fine sand paper and smoothed the edges. and +1^ on the grease lol, I forgot to on mine and had some minor squeeking.
