Talking New project, should have 800+ hp this weekend

So I just bought an 01 cobra. I'll put pics up. It has flowmaster, cold air intake, 11.5:1 compression, shaved heads, short shifter, saleen rims, etc. I love this car. only 70k miles. It's my daily driver though.

I just bought a 99 gt with a blown motor. On this motor is a novi2000 and a cobra transmission. That's it for the good stuff. Tomorrow I'm throwing in a built engine. It has custom comp cams, forged pistons, lowered compression, cannon racing oil pan, port and polished heads, methanol injection, external fuel pump, 82lb injectors, huge intercooler, long tube headers, h pipe exhaust, summit racing mufflers, and more. The block only had 30k miles on it and everything I just listed is BRAND NEW. I'm breaking it in on the dyno. I'm glad I didn't get the g35 I wanted after all! I'm into mustangs now, only took me a week having the cobra to get this. I think I'm just goin to turn a profit though and put the money in my cobra. MPH built my cobra, and this engine. Also, it is being tuned by Injected Engineering. I hear nothing but good things about them The interior is in awesome shape and the exterior needs paint. I wonder how much I should ask for after I throw a paint job on it?

I dont know what kind of profit your looking to make on a fully built 99GT.... The price you spend on MODS alone to make it 7-800whp would cost more than the car.

**** my car is going to be ~600whp and i have like 10k into it just mods!! that's some used **** too!!

I just dont want you to throw alot of cash into this 99gt and not make any money... Specially since you say you JUST got into mustangs?

Unless you got a HELL of a Deal i dont see you MAKING money on this sale..

I mean what if he bought the car for 2k? Putting all that in would cost like 5k. That would put him near $7K. He can sell that car for 12-14K.

if he can find somebody to buy it for 12 or 14. You can pick cobras now at that price.

OP, how much money do you have invested in the car? there Is only one way to tell if you will return a profit. However, If you are talking like everything is brand new, I dont see much of a profit being made.... that sounds like a lot of money in your motor, but that doesn't do much to the cars actual value (which is unfortunately pretty ****ty)

If he bought a car with a Novi blower and Cobra t56 in it for 2k..... thats a deal of the century...

Parting it out would net 3-4k just for those two. Let alone a car in GREAT Condition minus a motor. I would love to find a 99-04 gt in GREAT condition with a blown motor for only 2k(without motor/supercharger/tranny)... I have a stock GT motor ready to dump into it lol..

Just curious how much OP paid as well... Even a 800whp mustang GT would be hard to get 14-16k out of.. (unless you find an idiot that just wants a fast car and doesn't research)
