Hm. An N/A car wont reach max torque until later in the RPM band, and it will almost always have a decent slope until that point. On the strip, once you are up within the top 2,000 rpm of your powerband thats where you will stay ...but off the line you need a nice amount to get you going.

an N/A car wont get off the line nearly as quickly as a boosted car...if its a good turbo system that produces boost just off idle..it will move fast.

if two cars..one boosted one NA have the same peak torque and HP ratings...the boosted one will get around faster. my old rx7...when stockish (about 300 hp at the wheels) would pull on an N/A porsche any day. max torque of about 320 would happen at 2300 rpm and last till 7500 or so...thats alot more time where power is present.

Being able to rape boosted cars with an N/A one is always respectable, but I don't need respect right now...And I really dont want a lumpy *** ride that sounds anything like my godawful camaro that does a ****in shiatsu massage on my nuts at every stop light.

IF the GT's pistons and rods are in fact the same as the cobras (which would negate a few articles I've read) I would feel alot better about the supercharger.

Just supercharge it.. the only cobra motor that has different internals is the 03-04..

your not gonna kill the car with boost.

If you can afford it just s/c it. Then forge the motor and add more boost! lol

i was also going to forge before i put a power adder on my gt,but to be honest it is pointless just get the FI on the car run it and enjoy it until you have the money for a forged motor.Just get a conservative tune and it will be fine. There are a ton of gt's with stock motors running boost and have no problems, i am sure yours will be no different just find a reputable tuner and don't get greedy with timing/boost.

Well i dont want to run the risk of blowing up the motor with boost when i dont have the money to rebuild it. So im gonna build it to handle power before hand that way i have less of a chance of blowing the motor up due to the fact of actually running FI. Just my opinion. Im really tired and stuff isnt making sense anymore.

If I had the funds and patience I would build a bulletproof forged block or drop in an 03/04 cobra aluminum 4v Windsor block just for security down the road. But I don't see boost over 8 psi and it's just my girlfriends DD so it's not gonna even hit the track. Just needs a ricer safety cushion lol. Nothing worse than finding out that mr2 spider has 400 rwhp on 25psi with v8 killer on the plate.
