Cat or no cat

Cat or no cat
Just wondering how many of you knuckleheads are running midpipes with no cat's. Have you dyno'ed before and after? What is the purpose of a catless exhaust system?
I currently have an offroad midpipe. I went to my guy and asked him to tune and dyno my car and he said he wouldn't do it with no cat's. That's not really a problem for me, seeing as though I need to get the car emission tested anyway.
Just wondering how many of you are running off road setups.

theres a small difference in power, not much with some of the newer high-flow cats tho. sound changes slightly with cats vs offroad.
im running O/R because florida doesn't have emission laws or vehicle inspections. i'm separating soon and will weld cats in before i go back to TX just so i don't have to mess with constantly changing pipes.

dyno numbers were 233rwhp/272rwtq with just the LTs, O/R h, flowmaster mufflers (40 series i think? dont know, the previous owner installed em) and 75mm TB on dyno dynamics, which is, contrary to some peoples beliefs on here, a dyno that reads less than the mustang dyno. didnt have a comparison to my stock setup tho, so i cant tell you the big difference
