Default Drivetrain problems with my sn-95

supp ya'll!

So my car did it again- it's really difficult to put the gears in. Last time this happened it was the clutch fork and I replaced with an OEM one(maybe 4months ago/6k miles). Now it's doing it again and I'm wondering if it's possible that it may be my clutch cable.

I drove to my gf's house and the car was running fine; gears went in effortlessly. I hang out for about an hour and then hop in my car to leave. I fire up my car and it's all good until I try and put in first.

I press the clutch, try to put the shifter in first and nothing. The only thing that happened was the car would slightly move forward as I tried to jam it in first.
So after wiggling it a bit the gear goes in. HOWEVER, when the car is off, the gears go in easily.

Can it be the clutch fork again? Do cables stretch?

Also, if anyone recommends a clutch adjustable cable kit, I want to know something. I can't afford the whole $100 kit now. Can I just buy the cable and be okay for about 2 weeks?

I'd appreciate any help

Clutch cables can stretch. Do you still have the OEM one? And also the factory adjuster is a piece of crap. All you really need is a quadrant and firewall adjuster. They can all be used with the OEM cable and it should run about 60 bucks. I suggest staying away from adjustable cables as they are weaker and prone to snapping. My buddy broke 5 cables in less than a year. He put an OEM back in and hasn't broken one since. And I doubt it is your fork again.

Get a new quadrant and firewall adjuster and install, then if you still have the problem, save for the OEM clutch cable. Never buy an adjustable one.

stock yelow plastic quadrant? yes fizzicsboy.
thanks guys. I will be buying the quadrant and adjuster from brothers perfromance since it's only about 2hrs south of me and shipping will be much faster. I actually wasn't expecting for you guys to tell me to keep the OEM cable. I was about to purchase it last night. thanks again.

Also, if I RAAMM the clutch in fast, the gears go in alittle easier which was one reason I assumed it was the cable. Am I right on that one?
