Default exhaust

hey i have a 1997 ford mustang gt 4.6l with the stock exhaust system, 6 cats two mufflers, i was wondering if i took off the two mufflers for a day to see how it sounds if it would mess anything up. i.e. floating valves???

well i tried , but since the exhaust pipe goes up and over the axle i think you have to lift the whole car just to get the stock mufflers off is that right?

are you gonna ride around with no muffers? i had to cut my stock exhaust off of my 97 gt. why dont you just get a hi flow catted or o/r pipe if your looking for a good sound

Before I did any exhaust on my car, I tried un bolting the cat back. After 2 days I put it back on. Wasn't a fan of the sound.

Just find some cheap used flowmasters and get them welded in. I got the flows for $100 and welded in for $100. Then bought a $50 O/R pipe and installed it myself. Sounds awesome!
