What kind of HP numbers are you looking at with that thing? Weight?
345-350 hp and weigh roughly 3774lb, I wanted to pick up a termi but they are a little out of my price range with a loan for a first time buyer with no credit haha. The GTOs interior is nicer and roomier than the SN-95 by far which is another reason I didnt look for to many F bodies. I also have the feeling when I drive that im not going to see 50 other GTOs in the same 10 min drive and have 1 out of 5 mustangs per parking lot.

I apologize if this was already touched upon, but did you get rid of the stang? Or are you keeping it?

NICE...congrats on it. I would have no prob getting into one. I would go manual with the 6.0L.

But with Pontiac no longer....how are you going to get parts etc for that? Always wondered that, along with people that bought the G8's

There making OEM parts still at GM for the next 25 years and chances are at least for the GTO that someway, somehow parts will always be available. I mean look its kinda the same way with all the old car out cruizn around. Parts are still being made by someone.

Why? The a car is simply a rebaged Holden Monaro....

Besides I don't think you'll have trouble finding parts. The drive train is the exact same thing GM put in the Vette from 97-04 as well as the Camaro and Firebird from 98-02. Parts wont be a problem.

Good choice OP. As a former GTO owner (6.0 M6), I can say you'll really enjoy the car, and they are REALLY easy to make decent power with. I have a friend that still has his 04, and hes beating sport bikes and trying to slide into the 9's in the 1/4 right now.

I hope so, I dont plan on launching to hard I havent tested out the stock stall rpm yet, plan on using street tires untill I get the single piece driveshaft and beef up the IRS stub axles and CV axles. I like the way the IRS feels, but the car doesnt turn as well as the stang did with just cut springs. Theres a roundabout here I normaly do 25 with ease in the stang yet in the GTO its chirpin a tire. Reguardless its a fun new DD!
