Me and 2 other guys did the install in about 20 solid hours. We had to fab up a lot of stuff, but that is mainly because we also installed a front mount intercooler with the blower. You can run a non-IC system that is a fairly "easy" install, (if you have any mechanical ability). You could get into a pinch pretty easy though if your not careful. (like messing up the tap on the oil pan etc, breaking a critical part, etc)

check this out too, its a semi-documentary on my install: T-Trim Build w/ FMIC

to beat a stock GTO, you def won't need 400hp. theyre a much heavier vehicle (~3900 lbs i believe) and can't fit as wide of a rim/tire combo as you can. http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...t-bullitt.html <-- thats a link on how to get your car into the 12's on a N/A setup. stock GTO's with the 6.0 run low 13's. problem solved

cams+heads+full bolt ons will put you right at about 300 rwhp. That might be enough to keep up with the gto, dont know for sure though. I would defiantly invest in a set of 4.10s to help you though.

i just put the 4:10s in about a month ago and love them.... Now is having an auto gunna kill me when it comes to racing my friends gto w/6sp manual? I had the tranny gone through professionally and drop 3g's into it so its way better then average 4r70w!

theres plenty of tuning modules that will allow you to modify your tranny's shift points, shift firmness, etc. etc. i would recommend looking into a tuning program. i would also recommend checkin out that link i posted, of how to get in the 12s. the guy on there did not have heads or cams, and was not pushing 300whp

yeah that was a great post for sure but the guy had a 5spd not an auto, idk if matters one way or the other but off the line i cant really control my launch at a certain rpm like you can with a manual. Whats your a opinion on stall converters? can they be used on a daily driver car?

the only downside to this is finding a decent used head unit, I have been looking for 2 years and I either lose on the bid or they are over priced for used head units.

u gotta look other places then ebay then. I got a T-Trim blower, fmic w/ all piping, and 42lb injectors for $1600.

I found it literally by googling "vortech t-trim for sale," becoming members on some random forum to get a guys number, and the rest is history. People are getting deals on these things right and left... you just gotta look else ware. they are out there I promise.

what price are you looking for?
