didnt read above posts but, anything over 300rewhp will keep up with beat a 6.0 GTO with the right driver. if you really want 400 all motor, get a high compression shortblock capable off 7500+ rpms and some aggresivce long duration cams.

but check out Cushmanmotorsports Trickflow head/ cam package. pretty nice deal IMO

to answer your question, having an auto wont affect your launch that much. in fact its more of an advantage since your launches will be pretty darn consistent. also, with some tuners, you can set up a 2-step rev limiter, which i do believe will work with an auto. either way, you need to do the suspension work mentioned in the post, UCAs, LCAs, and maybe even subframe connectors. and then he suggested drag radials, which i also suggest, but would also recommend getting separate racing rims for them. the best price ive found is summit racings greg weld racelite series 93 prolite rims. $80 a piece, new. with all this, you'll probably spend ~$1000-1500, depending on what tires and tuner you go with

Ok sounds good.... what kind and size of drag radial is best for launching? i hear the Nitto NT555R's are pretty sweet but expensive! i have a SCT X3 tuner also im not to sure if it has the two stage rev setting for the transmission though!

call up MMR and tell them what ya want. or DSS both are pretty good. Nt555's are a good street drad radial, most people dont like them at the track. i hear the NT05R's are pretty good too

What compression ratio should i shoot for if i want to go naturally aspirated with the motor with a little spray but also keep it a good daily driver?

nt555's are more of a street tire as said above. you'll want somethin closer to slicks
