Default I need a HOME Fix

Just did this to my rear bumper last night. Pretty pissed, didn't see that another car was behind me when i backed out of teh garage. No damage done to the other car. Just the spots. Took the car & got it quoted around at diff bod shops.... told it'd be over 300 from all the estimates i got.

So my question... is this something i can do myself & what would i need to fix it. Because it isn't too bad. Just crappy it happened.

PS: I already have Motorcraft OEM Ford sonic blue touch up paint*
Thanks All

touch it up, and sand it alittle. Won't be perfect but see if you can live with it. If its still too much too live with, take it to a shop.

What would you suggest for sandpaper... which grade?

The higher the number the better! Only a light sand and wax on top, if its a color match you will be the only one who notices the work!

1000 grit. just make sure its wet and do not use any pressure on the paper. let it do the work for you.

just sand it down and buff it out after you're done. some compund and then throw some wax on it.

Okay... when should i add the "touch up paint"?

Because the top dent is down a couple of layers to the black bumper itself. So that the reason i was a little worried.

AND for the compound...Which type?

Thank YOU

you just have to build the layers up with the paint. might take awhile. apply one layer let it dry then just keep adding them like that until its a little above the paint, then sand it once it all has dried. Any compound will work, might just take a few applications.

just go to a auto parts store and grab the first one you see. I use Sonus products but you can only get them on-line. They are all about the same.
