I just dont see the v8 sticking around to much longer as a main platform for a lot of CARs(trucks are a diff story); i would bet money that by the time 2030 rolls around the v8 will be in museums for most cars. a turbo and smaller motor work wonders for fuel efficiency purposes, which is becoming the main goal for automakers.

For car enthusiasts sake i hope there is not a shred of truth to it all, but from a liberal tree hugger politician aspect, i see it happening lol.
ahhh yesss. The gear box is awesome! They feel really sporty as well. Although I rather have the roughed up feeling of my hard *** clutch pedal, tq, sound of the transmission when I shift it and exhaust. haha

I didn't want to give my 2v up.. It was electrical problems that killed me.. If it was in pristine working condition I wouldn't have given up my 2v. I do miss the rumble/ torque of the car.. but it wasn't a good investment to fix it. I will have another V8 one day.. just today I couldn't have both.

I would love to own a 03/04 Cobra or mach.. we shall see in 4-5 years or so.

Somehow I knew you would bring up the PTVC issues lol.

To me there is nothing sexier than the sound of a 350-370z. That exhaust tone is sporty and just... delicious sounding.

Thats just no good hossy, just no good....

Mustang/Camaro/Firebird/Corvette/GTO/Charger (not the 4dr pieces a ****) are muscle car ICONS.

I've yet to drive a 370z but I have two close friends that drive a tricked out 350z and a G35 coupe. They are heavy as hell. Sound great but nothing to run home and tell Mom about in terms of acceleration.

Well if you want to be technical about it then...it was 40 years...70' was the last decent mustang they made...the rest were pure chit until the fox body came along, and even then, it wasn't a muscle car. But, regardless, it is still an american icon, and a v6 is just a misrepresentation in a mustang.

here i figured it was in the class of a pony car not a muscle car alont with the camaro and old challanger/challenger- spell check and i figure the size of that new dodge and hell the weight of the camamro i kinda thought it veered away from its Pony car roots. could be wrong though maybe its a muscle car ;-/
