Dewayne Logan was the first I know to test 3 sets of these heads and publicly stated he found little gain below 7000RPM. He was roasted online for it but its appearing he was correct.
Its MUCH more common than you think. I have learned that people with poorer numbers usually just stay silent online and all we get publicly are usually inflated some. I know of quite a few other combos like this that ain't doing what one would think they should. This combo needs another $3000 spent on it to reach its potential.
Dont get me wrong, Im not putting him down.. I just expected to see a bigger number with a high comp trick flow headed motor. Hell bolt on 4.6s are seeing almost 300. I understand theres more to be had, I just was voicing my disapointment.. Didnt mean to have that go the wrong way

Didn't take it that way, its just I see/hear 295-305RWHP coming from TFS headed and cammed 4.6 all the time but you never see it posted on the forums. The best bolt on plus cams 2V I have personally seen was 290RWHP and it had the valves into the pistons. I have seen on the forums people getting over 300RWHP with bolt ons but at the track they run like any other 265-280RWHP 2V. Heck the fastest bolt-on plus cams 2V I know of only did 265RWHP but ran 11.98@113MPH years ago.
I would have expected a bit more as well. These 5.4 swaps are sounding like more trouble than they're worth to me.
With the 2V heads and built the same as a 4.6 they always make more torque and less or the same HP. Its basically a 1/2" stroker 4.6 and the 4.6 already has 1/2" more stroke than the 302/5.0 of yore did.
