Why would you lose power with a N/A cam when going FI? What if you aren't running a lot of boost?

I'm not a cam expert, but I believe the explanation I have heard was this. With a set of cams designed for an NA combination, you're actually trying to get some overlap between the exhaust and intake valve. The exhaust valve is going to create a scavenging effect that's going to pull air into the cylinder. The higher the stage, I believe the more overlap. Now with a boosted application, you don't need that scavenging effect in the cylinders, you'd actually be pushing fresh intake air out the exhaust. The more boost you run, the less efficient you're going to be.

If you aren't running a lot of boost I have heard the difference is very minimal between a blower cam and N/A cam though.

Depends on how much boost you wanna run, but personally i'd go with a blower cam now if you are getting a blower down the road. Check out my CMS Facebook page or search Youtube (CMS or VT cams) and you will find TONS of cam vids of my stuff. The blower stuff has a nice lopey idle as well.

I've heard Jim's stage 3 cams before, and if that's not choppy enough for you then you're talking about getting a set of cams that have absolutely horrible streetability.
