What to do: Track Prep
The day has finally come. Blower, Traction, and a Test and tune night at zMax (Lows Motor Speedway).
Will be running the stang this coming Wednesday. Any of u track guys got any advice? I am going to change my rear end fluid before then I think.... and oil of course. Everything else should be pretty on point maintenance wise.
Second, whats safe tranny wise? I have stock clutch and everything (plus nitto Dr's) I am not trying to set world record, but I want to do a moderate launch.
Because if things go as planned....
Defcon we are lineing up Wednesday!!! You better get that z06 ready! Im comming for you

-Nice little smokey burnout
-Try launching around 3000-3500 to begin with...don't dump the clutch, slip it
-And I'd say powershift but you have the stock shifter which I don't recommend you powershift with
-Drop the PSI to 17 and go from there

And for your drag radials...id leave the pressure above 20psi personally. If they were a ripple wall slick I'd say drop it to like 15 but its a street radial tire and the nitto's dont have that much sidewall give. Its up to you though.

Powershifting is not lifting your foot. Speedshifting is the opposite. I personally wouldn't powershift the stock shifter because they suck and the chances of missing a gear is much better than with an aftermarket, especially the 2-3 shift.
But if you're a pro driver like Tj then you should powershift with the stock shifter.
