As time goes on, the car sees less and less street duty. I actually moved it for the first time in 2 weeks today. I will need a bigger one down the road when I do a Kenne Bell. The converter will stall around 4500 at that point.

Nice! I was going to get a flexplate from Alan but at the time didn't have enough dinero.

What have you done VB wise? Just leaving it stock for now? And when are you going to swap everything over?

Also, what did you do for a shifter bezel? I can't find anything to fit.

I am going to start working on the trans doing a j-mod/shift kit, and replacing the OD band, overdrive servo pin, pressure control solenoid, pressure regulator valve, spiral snap retainers, and a couple other little things I forget the name of.

I hope to have the trans work done by the end of this week and start the swap next weekend. I think I'm gonna take the car to the track one more time tomorrow as a 5-speed car.

Thanks guys. I think it will be pretty sick once it is all done. I'm definitely excited about the swap.

And wannabe, I was just planning on using a piece of metal to make a bridge over the front of the shifter mounting area like they did in the MM&FF article.

Can you link me that article again please. I'm getting tired of driving around with that shifter bezel in the trunk lol

Definitely keep this thread updated. I'm very interested to see how it goes and how you like auto over manual or vise versa
