Mods for a 2002 GT?
I know I've made a thread about this before, but this one will be the last before ordering everything. I have a 2002 GT, manual, the only stuff it has on it right now is the Magna flow exhaust, and a Stage III Clutch. The engine is completely stock. I have 3.73 gears I'll be putting in sometime this week hopefully, and I'm buying a NOS kit from my brother. The kit is 05116NOS, I'm paying about 400$ for it. Anyway, I have another 4000-5000$ that I'm pretty much willing to spend, so what should I go for first? What is the most important etc? The car is also going in for a paint job, I'll most likely be having it re-painted black. it's blue now. Anyway, thanks for any suggestions/ideas. Sorry about all the questions etc.

What are you wanting out of the car? My first priority would be suspension, brakes, and rubber. Even if you're just drag racing, you don't want your engine to outperform your car. As far as power goes, there's infinite possibilities, and there's lots of guys here who can point you in the right direction.

If it were me, I would grab some stiffer springs (and drop it 1-1.5"), adjustable performance shocks, subframe connectors and a beefier brake setup, seeing as you have a nitrous package already going into it on the power end. I might also look into some good tyres, depending on what you have on there now.

The tires on the car are 245/45ZR-17's Sumitomo's all four of them. And I'd rather avoid using the nitrous system on the stock engine, everyone I've talked to said it will probably blow the engine up, I have no idea though..if anyone could lend some insight let me know.

i say screw the paint job for now.
a few suspension mods and a blower is what i would do with 5 grand. you can worry about looking pretty later. otherwise you will end up with a 3,000$ paint job, some boltons, and no closer to being fast.
and as far as your nitrous thing, LMFAO. nitrous IS dangerous, if you don't treat it right. if you get a good dyno tune (and DONT try to spray too much, 100rwhp is about the most you should try and do) and have everything set up, nitrous is VERY safe. my buddy has been spraying gas in his 98 cobra for the 3 years that i've known him, and even longer before that. that car has seen more bottles than bourbon street during mardi gras.

Alright alright, so I guess I'll worry about the paint job later, and get the suspension mods and a blower. Far as that goes, which blower? Novi? Vortech? And far as suspension mods as well, what should I do? Is there a list of parts I need anywhere? That'd be the easiest. lol Also the paint job is only around 1500, and the guy does excellent work for that cheap, maybe I'll just find the extra cash.
