GTO's and new 5.0's dont belong in the same convo . The only comparison is that they are american made and are both automobiles (Yes that is a biased jab at them ugly azz goats).
Those new 5.0's are bomb *** platforms to build off of. But it's new with warranty. I always buy used and build a machine the way it should have been massed produced. Save ur $ and buy an 05-06 and go to town! You'll own that piece. My 05' turned into a wide body Super Snake clone with 15" black stockcar wheels, fat rubber and Semi-Gloss black paint. Lovin it. The new 5.0 guys will be going to town on those in 2015!!! Ballin' but just too new
I am not going to dispute the fact the car was quick. It was one of the fastest cars I have ever driven other then a buddies Z06. What it lacks for me is the flat styling. Inside and out. Other then the 5.0 badging there is nothing that I saw distinguishing it from any other 2011 Mustang on the lot. Again this is just my opinion.

I would agree that the base GT doesn't appear any more impressive than the V6, but from a performance standpoint, there is no complaining here.
